If improving your Spanish is among your New Year resolutions, take a look at NotesinSpanish.com. It’s the work of Marina Diez and Ben Curtis. She is a Madrileña who works for an information-technology company. He is an Englishman who arrived in Madrid in 1998 without a word of Spanish and now works as a translator and guidebook contributor.
They produce podcasts that could be useful to anyone at intermediate level. Their intention is to

provide authentic listening practice, with real conversations in Spanish. We don’t force our conversation to fit around a grammar point; instead we have a completely natural chat about a piece of news, Spanish culture, travel — whatever interests us, and you, most at the time. That way you can be sure that you are hearing Spanish as it is spoken every day, rather than text book Spanish that might not match up to reality.

Podcasts can be downloaded free. A worksheet to accompany each one, with a full transcription of the conversation plus exercises, costs about £1.
