I’ve been off work this week (but cheated of a proper holiday by a cold), so I’ve only just got round to looking at an email that was sent to all Telegraph journalists yesterday.
It’s headed “IMPORTANT 111 BPR NEWS — please read”. BPR stands for Buckingham Palace Road — but no one, of course, apart from the anonymous writer of the email, refers to the office as BPR. The email says:

BBC News 24 filming in the newsroom today

A BBC crew will be filming in the newsroom today, making a programme
about our news operation. This should not significantly impact on normal
activities as the crew will only be with us for a couple of hours.
Apologies for any disruption. To assist the smooth production of the
programme, please try to keep your desk area tidy and surrounding
floorspace clear. Many thanks for your co-operation.

Keep your desk area tidy? Do we need to spare the BBC the sight of a real newsroom?
